We should always do things that strength each other's faith not weaken it. But I think often times what I see going on in mosques is so much Fitna that it brings people down rather than lifts them up.
Sometimes I witness things in mosques I never saw as a Christian or Jew and I am horrified thinking to myself how can these people treat each other like this. And sometimes my Muslim brothers and sisters REALLY make me feel bad and seriously disappoint me.
We should all try to be stepping stones for each other not stumbling blocks. But when people act with intimidation, domination and unjustly towards others making them feel unwelcome and hurt it doesn't bring about a unity amongst Muslims.
Personally, I have decided to just stay away for the rest of Ramadan. I find it much easier to not deal with the Fitna, worship at home and enjoy my readers online. It's much easier to block chaos on a computer than it is in the outside world.
