Customer change left behind?
Question: Respected mufti saheb . some times customers forget thier change in the shop .some organisations leave collection tins in the shop some tins state lillah only .can we put the customers forgotten change in the lillah tins
Answer: You should first try to trace the customers to the best of your ability to return their money. If you cannot trace the customer and have no way of returning the money to the customer, you may put this money in the Lillah tin on behalf of the customer. If the customer comes back to claim his/her money, you will have to give the money to the customer and the money that you placed in the tin will be a Sadaqah for you.
