Jumua’ah Mubarak greetings

Question:

Is it permissible to greet each other saying, Ju’muaah Mubaarak ? Is this Sunnah?

Answer:

The prescribed greeting amongst Muslims on the day of Jumu’ah and any other day of the year is the greeting of Salaam (Assalamu Alaikum). There is no record of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) or the Sahabah greeting each other on the day of Jumu’ah with Jumu’ah Mubarak. Hence, the greeting on Fridays with Jumu’ah Mubarak cannot be regarded as a Sunnah or prescribed practice in Islam.
