SLEEPING ON ONE'S STOMACH

Question and Answer:

Q. What is the rule pertaining to habitually sleeping on ones stomach? Are there any Ahaadeeth to substantiate it being incorrect?

(There may be grammatical and spelling errors in the above question. Questions are published as received)

A. One should not sleep on one's stomach. It is the worst form of sleeping. According to a narration of Ibn Maajah it is a sleep of Jahannam, and according to a narration of Musnad Ahmed and Tirmidhi it is a (sleeping) posture that Allah dislikes.
