لا حَوْلَ وَ لا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّهِ The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said they are a treasure from Jannah,, and never has a spoken word of my beloved صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم been incorrect. Of course, being a Muslim, Alhumdollilah, from a young age I have seen them written in various book, moist on the tongue of my father as his rosary beads go round and round, exclaimed by my sister in law as my niece does something naughty, yet again, and the daily dhikr of many believers, but never have I really understood the magnitude of these words until recently. I still don’t think I do. Only 8 words. Probably even fewer in the Arabic language, but the weight that they carry is not a force to be reckoned with. Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم taught us the power of these words, but how many of us truly comprehend their essence and reality? Certainly not me… It was a shame that I found myself sinking deep in the sand, deeper and deeper, loosing control till I hit rock bottom. Till I even began looking for treasure. I guess in hindsight, it really isn’t a shame, but a blessing that I am grateful for, Alhumdollilah Had I of not sank, I would not never of sought, and had of sought I would never have found. When we become caught up in our own successes, triumphs and achievements it is so easy to forget the real power behind it all. Often we think it is our wealth, our expertise, our intelligence, our knowledge, that helps us to achieve, yet fail to recognise the hand of Allah guiding us in all our matters. It is Allah who provides our sustenance and Allah who opens closed doors and Allah who softens hearts. It is Allah who controls our destiny and changes our situations one moment to the next. Trials and tribulations are a certainty in life and in all honestly the only real control that we have is over our own actions, and often, the manner in which react will inevitably effect the outcome. Life is such that the sun will not always shine, but it will not always rain either (unless you’re in England, of course) Regardless of the situation you find yourself in, as a Believer your have the greatest power with you, you just have to believe it in. Allah Allah. The Lord of the worlds, the heavens and the earth, the skies and the seas. Allah. The Lord of the Angles and humans and the jinn’s and all creatures known and unknown, in the Heavens and the Earth. We have such a power in him, yet we fail to recognise, and only turn to him when we are dire need. We think we can do everything on our own, get that job because we have a degree, get that man because we have the looks, get that home because we have that money, have that baby because we are married but no no its doesn’t work like that, im afraid. Because we don’t have the power. Because… There is no power or might except with Allah. We need Allah, during the good times and even more during the bad times. When we try to do things on our own we fail, but with Allah helping guiding us, we may not always get what we want, but get the oppurtunity to develop our faith, our patience, our strength, knowing that the situation that we are in is what is best for us. Why? Because….. There is no power or might except with Allah. If he wanted to change things he could, but he knows this is what is good for me Nothing is difficult for my Allah. It is my fault that I don’t ask from him, the way I ought to, trust him the way I ought to rely in him the way I ought to. Whatever situation it be, through happiness and grief, I know that all power lies with Allah and there is some goodness despite the depth of darkeness. Though I may not seek it, it will come find me. You want a child…ask Allah You are having marital problems …ask Allah You feel faith is weak…ask Allah to guide you and he will. Ask Him. Im not going to go into the ettiqute of dua, beacuse I am not learned enough at all, but merely wanted to remind firstly myself and my Muslims sisters, those who are happy, those who are sad, those who are anxious, those who are weak, who are healthy, those who are despondent……. There is no power or might except with Allah. And when we have Allah helping us, guiding us, looking over us, Subhan’Allah the contentment and peace in ones heart becomes almost tangiable We have so much power with as Muslims we only have to learn to use it. It is so easy to forget but sister’s makes these words a daily treasure of your lips. When you face a dead end, a calamity, a brick wall, no way out, REMEMBER. There is no power or might except with Allah. Let your voice be a voice that is recongnised in the heavens. As someone always says to me " Allah's delays are never his denials. " He hears your plea, dont worry about that. But make your plea and your voice, one that is worth listening to and answering. You concentrate on your actions and leave the rest to Allah because....
