The greater the pain, the deeper the detachment from the dunya. For all those who have suffered a loss, grief, pain and hurt, fear not, for in the depth of suffering lies an ingrained mercy. The more our hearts are broken, the more our bodies are tormented, the more tears our eyes weep, layer by layer we are stripped of our desire for the dunya. And thus, we begin to yearn for a freedom from this suffocation that can only be found in striving for aakhirah. Hand over that broken heart to Al-Jabbar, who will heal all your wounds. Cry those tears in the Courtyard of Ar-Raheem, and strive on your path, from the ephemeral to the Eternal, with a beautiful patience, and hope for your reward from As-Shakoor. Find hope in prayer and preserverance. Oh Slave of Allah, remember His Mercy prevails over his Wrath, and these tears are never wasted in His Courtyard. These worldly days are nothing but a blink of an eye between two eternities, so make your companion your Lord. Strive quietly, and bear silently with patience, the adversity that meets you. Allah knows of every wound, or every scar, every pain, every tear. Allah knows. Allah is with those who are patient. Not mum, not dad, nor the wife or the husband, not the best friend or the pious scholar, nor the wali of Allah, but Allah swt azza Jall, Himself. Be patient. He will bless you with strength, with hope, with love, with his nearness, with a longing to meet Him...... ....to escape from the dunya and its shackles, and to flee to Allah. The end is nigh. The help of your Lord is near. And fear not, for the reward of those who are patient, is bighayri hisaab.... By: Bint e Muhammad

لا حَوْلَ وَ لا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللّهِ The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said they are a treasure from Jannah,, and never has a spoken word of my beloved صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم been incorrect. Of course, being a Muslim, Alhumdollilah, from a young age I have seen them written in various book, moist on the tongue of my father as his rosary beads go round and round, exclaimed by my sister in law as my niece does something naughty, yet again, and the daily dhikr of many believers, but never have I really understood the magnitude of these words until recently. I still don’t think I do. Only 8 words. Probably even fewer in the Arabic language, but the weight that they carry is not a force to be reckoned with. Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم taught us the power of these words, but how many of us truly comprehend their essence and reality? Certainly not me… It was a shame that I found myself sinking deep in the sand, deeper and deeper, loosing control till I hit rock bottom. Till I even began looking for treasure. I guess in hindsight, it really isn’t a shame, but a blessing that I am grateful for, Alhumdollilah Had I of not sank, I would not never of sought, and had of sought I would never have found. When we become caught up in our own successes, triumphs and achievements it is so easy to forget the real power behind it all. Often we think it is our wealth, our expertise, our intelligence, our knowledge, that helps us to achieve, yet fail to recognise the hand of Allah guiding us in all our matters. It is Allah who provides our sustenance and Allah who opens closed doors and Allah who softens hearts. It is Allah who controls our destiny and changes our situations one moment to the next. Trials and tribulations are a certainty in life and in all honestly the only real control that we have is over our own actions, and often, the manner in which react will inevitably effect the outcome. Life is such that the sun will not always shine, but it will not always rain either (unless you’re in England, of course) Regardless of the situation you find yourself in, as a Believer your have the greatest power with you, you just have to believe it in. Allah Allah. The Lord of the worlds, the heavens and the earth, the skies and the seas. Allah. The Lord of the Angles and humans and the jinn’s and all creatures known and unknown, in the Heavens and the Earth. We have such a power in him, yet we fail to recognise, and only turn to him when we are dire need. We think we can do everything on our own, get that job because we have a degree, get that man because we have the looks, get that home because we have that money, have that baby because we are married but no no its doesn’t work like that, im afraid. Because we don’t have the power. Because… There is no power or might except with Allah. We need Allah, during the good times and even more during the bad times. When we try to do things on our own we fail, but with Allah helping guiding us, we may not always get what we want, but get the oppurtunity to develop our faith, our patience, our strength, knowing that the situation that we are in is what is best for us. Why? Because….. There is no power or might except with Allah. If he wanted to change things he could, but he knows this is what is good for me Nothing is difficult for my Allah. It is my fault that I don’t ask from him, the way I ought to, trust him the way I ought to rely in him the way I ought to. Whatever situation it be, through happiness and grief, I know that all power lies with Allah and there is some goodness despite the depth of darkeness. Though I may not seek it, it will come find me. You want a child…ask Allah You are having marital problems …ask Allah You feel faith is weak…ask Allah to guide you and he will. Ask Him. Im not going to go into the ettiqute of dua, beacuse I am not learned enough at all, but merely wanted to remind firstly myself and my Muslims sisters, those who are happy, those who are sad, those who are anxious, those who are weak, who are healthy, those who are despondent……. There is no power or might except with Allah. And when we have Allah helping us, guiding us, looking over us, Subhan’Allah the contentment and peace in ones heart becomes almost tangiable We have so much power with as Muslims we only have to learn to use it. It is so easy to forget but sister’s makes these words a daily treasure of your lips. When you face a dead end, a calamity, a brick wall, no way out, REMEMBER. There is no power or might except with Allah. Let your voice be a voice that is recongnised in the heavens. As someone always says to me " Allah's delays are never his denials. " He hears your plea, dont worry about that. But make your plea and your voice, one that is worth listening to and answering. You concentrate on your actions and leave the rest to Allah because.... There is no power or might except with Allah. By: Bint e Muhammad 8/3/2015 0 Comments Having known the tears...This is taken from a member of an Islamic Online Forum after taking her permission. Having initially known the bitter tears of loneliness, and then the joy of solitude, the same tears bore a sweetness like no other. A gift like no other, and valuable to the one who knows it worth.
Having known happiness, and momentary ease, know, for certainty, that what the Believer acquires during moments of deprivation and tets, he will never gain through years of blessings. Seek with a soul that yearns and you will find... Don't hasten for what is already your destiny, rather savor the moment, and know that once it has passed, it it will never return. Bear patiently these few days, and understand that mercy of Allah swt is vast, far beyond what the eye can see, and far beyond what the heart can feel! Truly, the dunya that we seek, which we are deprived of , for a short while, is not even worth an iota in comparison to what we gain in terms of spiritual benefit during these moments! Once I came across a parable of two birds in a cage,
Related from a revered scholar, a pious sage. Colourful and free, many a birdsong did they sing, Till the day, a Master came. With him, a cage did he bring. For the birds, that was the beginning of the end, And for us, a profound truth, so our ways we can ammend. From within, the beautiful world outside, did they see, With only one wish, to once again be set free. And thus the world is a prison for those of faith, a challenge to walk upon the path, narrow and straight, The bird with wings doth craves to fly, The human wants to reach every limit beyond the sky. As day gives way to night, much a times does pass, when others flock by, many a questions do the caged birds ask. "Tell me, just like you, how can I be free, the world outside, I long to see" The birds reply, a secret in disguise, a lesson for you and me, "Die before your death, and you shall truly be set free" Two birds in a cage, upon this notion, did they contemplate, A treacherous deception, this world does nothing but intoxicate. And on one fine day, Lay dead, an act they did play. When the Master came he saw naught, but two birds in a cage, dead. From every cavetous and lustful desire has the heart now fled. Thus from the cage the two dead birds were finally removed, within the blink of an eye their life swiftly improved. Once again, they were truly free, To simply be. And for every seeker, striving on the journey of life, each unlawful desire, must be put under the knife. And this was is the parable of the two birds in a cage, related to me by someone I love, a pious sage. There is a place, where my heart yearns to be,
A city of angels, always enveloped in perpetual peace. No other, can satiate this burning desire, For this honour, I set my every pleasure on fire. Gaze low, empty handed, barefoot, the unseen guiding me, Finished in this moment, there is nowhere, I would rather be. The lovers of the world, find, in each other their delight, Mine eyes doth cry, till I reach my only Haven in sight. Naught but a beggar that sincerely pleas, Unite me those whom You love and have mercy. From the shackles of this tangled web, my soul longs to flee, Yet again, to the city of my Beloved, Madinatun Nabi ﷺ By: Bint e Muhammad 7/20/2015 2 Comments The hijabi and the strangerThis Poem is taken from a member of an Islamic Online Forum after taking her permission.
As she walks down the street Covered from head to feet A stranger stares at her And they want an answer 'Why don't you be like me? Be free and show your beauty Let your hair feel the air Let the world stop and stare' The hijabi listens and gives her reply And she tells the stranger exactly why 'I can show my hair if I want to But I don't want to be like you.' 'I know I am beautiful and worth it I don't need society to dictate it To tell me how to look and act They are only opinions not a fact' The fact is what you see in front of you A woman living for one thing that's true I only live for my creator not a human being He is my lord and creator of everything Stranger, let me ask you a question Why do you want all this attention? Why do you let them cover you in powder? Do you ever ask yourself and wonder? You are always getting oppressed By men that stare and are obsessed With lust and perversion your society runs The problems and struggles are tonnes You try to keep up with their definition of beauty First it's size zero and then it's size infinity Don't worry about me marked up girl Don't lose yourself in this filthy world I am free because that's what I choose to be You are what society wants you to be I will go my way because I want to You can live your path because you want to' ;-) Some people give the 8 Rakaat Taraweeh daleel from a Daeef hadith by Hadhrat Jaber Radhi Allahu Anhu. Lets see what the Muhaqqiq of Saheeh Ibne Hibban Shoaib Arnaut says about it. Very clearly states that it is Daeef :
(2415) ” Also check: 1. Imam ibn A’adi r.h states: The hadith that is narrated by Isa Bin Jaariya is “not” preserved. ( Tehzeeb At Tehzeeb : 186 /8 , Tehzeeb Al Kamaal : 533 , 534 /14 , Mizaan Ul Aitedaal : 311/3) 2. Imam Aqeeli r.h has classified Isa Bin Jaariya amoungst Da’eef(weak) narrators. (Tehzeeb At Tehzeeb : 186 /8 , Tehzeeb Al Kamaal : 533 , 534 /14 , Mizaan Ul Aitedaal : 311/3) In the blessed month of Ramadan people try there best to attend the Taraweeh Salaah and they should also do the same with Tahajjud Salaah during Ramadan since both of them are separate and are not the same. Some people claim that they are the same but that is not the truth and in this post we will see some of the daleel that they are both separate from one another. 1 –Hadhrat Umar Al Farooq Rdh. Al Mutawaffa 23 Hij. Hadhrat Ameer ul Momineen Umar bin Khattab Rdh. Al Mutawaffa 23 Hij. says: The prayer for which you sleep (meaning Tahajjud) is Afzal (better) than the one for which you are doing Qayyam (meaning Taraweeh) (Saheeh Bukhari : Hadith No. 2010) Hadhrat Umar Rdh. is encouraging us to offer Tahajjud as well after Taraweeh, since it is a permanent prayer. This is the reason that the Muhaddiseen have classified Taraweeh and Tahajjud separately and have also stated it very clearly.
a. - Imam Abul Wali Sulaimaan al Baaji al Qurtubi Rh. Al Mutawaffa 474 Hij. Says about the saying of Hadhrat Umar Rdh. that the Qiyaam in the later part of the night is superior (Afzal) then the part of night in which Qiyaam was before it. (Al Muntaqa Lil Baaji : Volume 1 : Page 208) Some people say that the dua اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ، وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ is not proven from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the hadith which has these words is weak (Daeef).
Below is the Daleel and Analysis on this issue: 1. In the above hadith, it is mentioned by Abu Zohra Rh. that when it s time for Iftaar, they recited: اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ، وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ (Ad- Duaa Liz Zabbai : Hadith No 66) Insha Allah in this series we will look at the reality of 15th of Shaaban and see what is said about it in - Hadith, by Fuqaha and the Muhaddiseen. In the last post Insha Allah, i will post about the Bidah which have been associated with it and do not have any daleel of doing so.
